VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s U17 HAGL Arsenal JMG narrowly beat China’s U17 Hangzhou Greentown 1-0 in its second match of the Sanix Cup in Japan on March 21.

Despite totally dominating the first half and creating some easy opportunities, the team failed to get past the opponent’s goal keeper.

With the substitutions of Ksor Uc and Van Thanh for Anh Tai and Thanh Tung in the second half, HAGL Arsenal JMG finally succeeded in opening the scoring with Xuan Truong’s accurate free-kick just out side of the box.

In the time remaining Truong had another opportunity to double the gap, but his shot hit the crossbar.

The win is of great importance for the Vietnamese club after their previous 1-0 lost against the Japanese U17 team, renewing their hopes of advancing to the cup’s next round.
