VietNamNet Bridge – The capital city of Hanoi will host the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) from July 20-29 in 2014.
Under the organising plans approved by the Prime Minister on January 23, the IChO 2014 is expected to see the participation of delegations from 80 nations and territories. Each delegation has 9 members, including leaders, students and observers.
The Ministry of Education and Training is assigned to work with the Vietnam Chemistry Association and relevant agencies and localities to map out detailed plans for the organization of the event.
Held annually since 1968, the IChO is one of five contests, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Information Technology for international secondary students to show off their intellectual talents and make international friends.
Vietnam has participated in the IChO since 1997. Last year, all four students of the Vietnamese team won medals, including one gold, two silvers and one bronze, at the 44th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), held in the US from July 21-30.
