HÀ NỘI — Singer Tuấn Hưng will perform during a fashion show on October 14 at the National Convention Centre in Hà Nội.
Hưng is one of the country’s most beloved pop singers. The sudden cancellation of his October 10 show drew more attention than ever.
The Wild Horse show was meant to mark Hưng’s 20-year career as a professional singer. It was scheduled to take place at Quần Ngựa Sports Complex at 8pm on October 5, his birthday.
But when Hưng and his fans arrived at the venue around 6pm, they were informed that the event had been cancelled for allegedly lacking a fire safety certification.
The cancellation surprised the singer as much as the audience. Hưng said he was devastated because the show was very special to him.
Hưng’s wife said she had never seen him so upset. He went to the hospital the next day to deal with his immense sadness.
The sports complex management board admitted their mistake and accepted the losses caused by the cancellation. They said they would try to arrange another show as soon as possible
Hưng has not revealed any details about a potential rescheduled show, but he seems to have recovered from the breakdown.
“I won’t let the audience be disappointed,” he said. “The care and encouragement of my friends and fans motivated me to overcome this challenge.”
In the meantime, Hưng will sing at the Fashion and Beyond by Biluxury fashion show this weekend.
Biluxury CEO Lê Xuân Tùng said the event will have an audience of over 1,000. Its 100-metre catwalk has been designed with a modern lighting system and special props.
The event will reveal three new menswear collections: Biluxury Fall Winter 2018, The Alpha Man and The Typo, designed by Lê Anh Tú. — VNS
