South Korean director Kim Ji Hoon and actress Han Ga In

Well-known South Korean actress Han Ga In and director Kim Ji Hoon will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday to attend in the final round of a local filmmaking class.

On July 10, the director will give a talk on his experiences in the movie industry at the Saigon International Film School in Binh Thanh District. One day later, he and In will attend the final round of the “Toto Filmmaking Class” as judges.

Now in its second year in Vietnam, the Toto Filmmaking Class, is being held in HCMC from July 5-11. This year, it has attracted 69 local and international students.

Local director Ngo Quang Hai and actress Mi Du are also honorary judges for the class.

Founded in South Korea in 2008, the Toto class offers chances for young students to learn the filmmaking process and make their own films.

The Vietnam installation of the class was co-sponsored by the leading local film distributor Megastar and CJ CGV, the largest multiplex cinema chain in South Korea .

Last year, the program drew 42 students aged 11-13 from six secondary schools around the city.
